Cranberries signify the holiday season.  They are beautiful, glistening red in their serving bowl, they bring life to any holiday table and add zest to your holiday plate.  I love this easy, lively version that is sure to impress your guests.  Enjoy! 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole fresh cranberries
  • 1 cups water
  • Zest of one orange
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cup sugar

Directions:
Mix water, orange zest, orange juice, cinnamon and sugar in large pan or stock pot.  Heat to boiling; boil 5 minutes, stir in cranberries.  Bring mixture back to a boil; allow to boil rapidly for 5 minutes.  Remove from heat and allow to cool; cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
